The expected weather system has arrived, bringing lower temperatures than forecast, and snow has fallen on our trails down to elevations below 1,500 meters.

On the eve of the Garda Trentino Trail Extra, we are therefore faced with a delicate situation. While the snow accumulation may not prevent passage in certain sections of the course, it could make any rescue operations significantly more difficult, especially for wheeled vehicles.

 

The safety of every athlete and volunteer has always been, and will continue to be, the top priority of our organization. 

 

For this reason, although with great regret, the race jury has decided as a precautionary measure to cancel the Garda Trentino Trail Extra 150 and transfer all registered athletes to the Garda Trentino Trail Extra 100, whose course presents fewer safety concerns in these conditions.

 

We hope —and are confident — that the reasons behind this decision will be understood. In the meantime, we confirm that we are working to ensure the best possible race conditions for all participants.

 

The Garda Trentino Trail Extra 100 is confirmed, with the race briefing scheduled for approximately 7:30 PM and the start at 9:00 PM from the center of Arco, and not from Arco Castle.

 

For this reason, during the first kilometer of the race, the field will be escorted until reaching the official course.
